The role of the ADAT Commissioner / Co-ordinator is to:-
Lead development of strategic direction and management of the implementation and performance of national alcohol and drug strategies across the Ayrshire and Arran multi-agency partnership of Criminal Justice ( Police, Prison service, Procurator Fiscals Office), Health, Local Authority and independent sector.
Provide pro-active executive support, advice, and management to all members of ADAT.
Facilitate strong links between partner agencies and others.
Actively promote the work of ADAT at a national and Ayrshire and Arran level bringing best practice to benefit other areas.
Lead and manage the ADAT Support Team.

The role of the Partnership Development Officers is to:-
Work as part of the ADAT Support Team by co-ordinating and developing actions to address health/social inequalities which may directly or indirectly linked to substance use.
Taking forward the priorities identified by Ayrshire and Arran multi-agency partnership of Criminal justice (Police, Prison Service, Procurator Fiscal Office), Health, Local Authority and Independent Sector
Provide pro-active support to the ADAT Commissioner / Co-ordinator and members of ADAT
Facilitate strong links between partner agencies and others.
Actively promote the work of ADAT at a national and Ayrshire and Arran level
To develop structured interfaces between marginalised groups in society and the multi agency ADAT through recognised forums to inform policy.

Alcohol and Drug Project Co-ordinator

The role of the Alcohol and Drug Project Co-ordinator is to:-
Work as part of the ADAT Support Team in order to implement the National Alcohol and Drug Strategies. The post holder has delegated responsibilities for a number of key areas to support the ADAT Commissioner/ Co-ordinator, Partnership Development Officers in order that key policy areas are progressed allowing both the ADAT Steering Group and ADAT Support Team to operate efficiently and effectively.
Provide pro-active support to the ADAT Commissioner/Co-ordinator, Partnership Development Officers, and members of ADAT.
Facilitate strong links between partner agencies and others.
Promote the work of ADAT at a national and Ayrshire and Arran level.

The role of the Administrator/Secretary is to:-
Manage, lead and develop comprehensive office administration service
Provide a highly skilled secretarial service to senior officers
Provide a comprehensive secretarial support to all Ayrshire & Arran Alcohol & Drug Action Team Steering Group Meetings and all ADAT topic specific and expert advisory group meetings including arranging meetings and hospitality, timeous distribution of agenda and all steering Group and sub-group meeting papers, attending and drafting minutes.
Manage and supervise Clerical Assistant employed as part of a Transitional Employment Programme (TEP) which provides employment opportunities for people with mental health problems to return to employment.
Support The ADAT Commissioner / Co-ordinator to lead, develop and maintain compliance of health & safety regulations within the ADAT Support Team.
Clerical Assistant
The role of the clerical assistant is to:-
Assist to provide a comprehensive office administration service
Assist to provide a highly skilled secretarial service to senior officers
